Is "laughing gas" safe for me and my child?

"Laughing gas" is a combination of nitrogen and oxygen gases that flows through a mask over your nose. Nitrogen and oxygen combined make up more than 98% of the particles we breathe in the air. It is considered the safest form of sedation because the effects of the laughing gas can be quickly reversed in just a couple minutes by breathing in pure oxygen. While under the effects of the laughing gas most people will feel relaxed, happy, warm and dreamy. While you are given the laughing gas, you will be closely monitored and the amount of gas you receive will be carefully regulated so you can relax and enjoy your dental experience.
